Gold-Standard Clinical and Diagnostic Evaluations
Early detection, accurate assessment, and appropriate treatment and intervention lead to optimal outcomes for individuals with autism and related conditions.
NACS founder Dr. Celine Saulnier is a renowned clinician-scientist with over 20 years of experience in research and clinical diagnostic assessment. Under her leadership, NACS brings research-grade diagnoses to infants, children, adolescents, and adults in a community clinical setting.
With comprehensive, individualized evaluations of each individual’s strengths and vulnerabilities, we provide guidance for the support each person needs to grow toward their fullest potential.
Remote and On-Site Diagnostic Evaluations and Consulting
When it’s not convenient for consultations or diagnostic evaluations to be conducted in-person at our facility, NACS could travel remotely where state licensure guidelines permit. NACS also provides consultative services remotely (onsite or electronically) for assessment and diagnosis, recommendations for treatment and intervention, and program development.

Consulting on Grants & Research Studies for Clinical Characterization
Scientists studying autism spectrum and related disorders rely on diagnostic evaluations (often referred to as clinical characterization or behavioral phenotyping) that are scientifically rigorous and reliable, and that meet gold-standard requirements of funding agencies such as the National Institutes of Health (NIH). NACS provides scientists with research-reliable, gold-standard diagnostic assessments while ensuring that participants and their families are receiving excellent clinical care. We also help train scientists and research staff on how to collect high-quality phenotypic data.
NACS founder Dr. Celine Saulnier spent nearly 20 years within nationally renowned clinical research centers. She has published in peer-reviewed journals and has been an investigator on numerous federal and private foundation grants. She is the former director of research operations at the Marcus Autism Center, where she helped develop a large-scale clinical research infrastructure and clinical assessment core that provided behavioral phenotyping to ten scientific laboratories and contributed to the center’s designation as an NIH Autism Centers of Excellence. She also sits on the Autism Science Foundation’s scientific advisory board and is a Program Committee member of the International Society for Autism Research’s Annual Meeting.
Leveraging Dr. Saulnier’s deep expertise, we can help you conduct your autism research
based on the highest standards of evidence-based diagnostics.
MISSION
Our mission is to help all people with autism spectrum and related disorders flourish and live to their fullest potential. We bring state-of-the-art diagnostic evaluations to individuals, their families, their teachers and support networks, and other clinicians and scientists seeking to better understand diagnostic profiles and strategies for appropriate intervention. With a clear, detailed understanding of each individual’s vulnerabilities and strengths, we guide them to the support they need to grow toward their greatest potential.
VISION
Through example, education, and advocacy, we will lead clinicians and researchers to adopt the most accurate and comprehensive assessment methods for diagnosing complex neurodevelopmental disorders. With clearer insights into each individual’s vulnerabilities and strengths, families, teachers and clinicians will provide each individual with the support they need to achieve their fullest potential.
VALUES
We believe that every individual has the capacity for optimal outcomes. We believe that scientific rigor paired with curiosity and compassion provide the most complete understanding of each individual’s vulnerabilities and strengths.
